Few things are harder to cope with than death. When a family is expecting the death of a loved one, it is tough to deal with the news. However, when a loved one's wrongful death is unexpected and is the result of a fatal car accident, the news can be devastating for families.
Sadly, that is exactly what one Pennsylvania family is currently dealing with. A 41-year-old mother was killed Sunday morning in fatal car accident. The mom, Melissa, was driving home from work when she was involved in a car accident with another car.
At the time of the crash, two cars were both headed south when one car tried to pass the other. As the cars were passing, the front driver's side of Melissa's car was struck. The collision sent Melissa's car spinning, and she lost control of the steering column. The car flew off the road and hit a tree.
When police arrived at the scene of the car accident, they pronounced her dead, and said her death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
When Melissa's mother learned the news of the accident, she was devastated. She said she can't wrap her head around what is happening, and the entire event is a total shock. Melissa leaves two children behind. At this point, it is unclear what will happen with them.
The police are still investigating the accident. Melissa's death is the third accident-related death in just six days.
